The Fun Stuff!
This stuff is completely unnecessary, but it makes for a fun introduction.
I believe that most of us were our truest selves at age five.
So, I'm going to introduce you to my five-year-old badass self.
- I loved puzzles and problem solving.
- I loved painting—particularly sunsets, water, or anything else in which I could layer and blend colors.
- I loved group fitness and personal training.
- It makes sense once you know that my mom was a group fitness instructor and personal trainer.
- I loved hip hop: the music, the clothes, the dancing, the graffiti.
- I loved basketball, martial arts, and gymnastics.
- I wanted to be an Astronaut.
Today, my goal is to be as awesome as my five-year-old self.
I'd say I'm pretty close.
- I still love puzzles and problem solving.
- It is partially my love for puzzles and problem solving that fuels my passion for coaching.
- I still love painting.
- It's purely for fun—I've never had any instruction, and it shows.
- I still love group fitness and personal training.
- I've earned national certifications for both group fitness instruction and personal training.
- I've been a group fitness instructor and personal trainer since 2008.
- Of course, this lessened significantly during my three years in law school.
- I still love hip hop:
- I teach hip hop dance.
- I still desperately want to try graffiti art.
- I still love basketball, martial arts, and gymnastics.
- I miss basketball—not necessarily playing—but I'd like to start watching it again.
- I miss martial arts. I do kickboxing when I can, but I'd love to join a boxing gym.
- I miss gymnastics. I go to trampoline parks every once in awhile for fun.
- I no longer want to be an Astronaut.
- Sorry, I don't know what to tell you with this one.
